![]() Overtime things start to build and you see that light at the end of the tunnel. ![]() I learned to really trust in the process and to be patient with the journey. There were lots of weeks where clients weren’t reaching out or I didn’t have anyone on the books and that’s scary! Especially when you have to cover all the finances involved in running a salon. I definitely learned that success doesn’t happen overnight. But having the encouragement from my family and the support of my wonderful clients, it really pushed me to power through and put my undivided attention into my salon. As many know starting up a business isn’t easy but during a global pandemic was way more daunting than I expected. It was after the second shutdown from Covid that I decided it was time to make a move. Starting up my own salon suite was definitely a leap of faith. I spent over a year and a half assisting to really build my skills as well as extra classes to stay up to date on trends. I got to where I am today by a lot of hard work and dedication. It’s something that I knew I always wanted to do and I’m very proud of it. My biggest accomplishment thus far is definitely opening up my own salon suite. I’ve been doing hair professionally for four years and I specialize in so cal blondes and lived in natural color. I am a licensed cosmetologist and owner of my salon suite “Salted Roots”. I had envisioned long term that I would be my own boss and run a business that reflected how much I enjoy the hair industry and the impact I wanted to make on people. I thought of all the opportunities I could have, from scheduling freedom to being in full creative control over my brand and how I make people feel.Įven though it felt really daunting and I knew it was going to take a lot of work, I knew that the pros to having my own business would outweigh any of the cons.
